Horizontal carbon steel storage tank


       At present, carbon steel storage tanks are mainly used in production companies to store various liquids. Because they are actually welded, cracks will inevitably appear over time. When cracks appear, we should not be anxious. We should first look at what is causing it, and then deal with it.
       Analysis of causes of leakage of carbon steel storage tanks:
       1, Visual inspection, check for leaks from the water container, leaks are found through careful observation of the connection between the pipe and the shell, and minute fine cracks in the welding area;
       2, Check the fracture. Generally, the cracked place is the location of the welding ground;
       3, Metallographic examination, the cracked shell part of the test piece was taken for tissue observation without etching. The first metallographic sample was prepared. The non-metallic inclusions in the shell were carefully observed at the level of the test piece. The overall properties of the internal cracks and reticular cracks were extended from the shell surface along the crystal. The cracks occurred at the synthetic position near the welding zone. The heat-affected zone should be welded. Therefore, the solidification cracks of the welding cracks were thermally cracked.
       4, Hardness test, take a piece of each part of the stainless steel tank to check whether the hardness is qualified; see if the value is greater than210HV;
       5,After the above analysis, during the welding process of the shell and the nozzle, adjacent to the shell,500-850temperature℃When the sensitized welding zone is formed and the heat-affected zone exceeds the shell plate hardness value, the treatment solution is ineffective, not all carbon in the austenite solid solution is contained, and it also increases the tendency to form weld sensitization. The interaction of the intergranular corrosion of the two shells causes cracking, leakage and thus cracking.
